Vinnie is a used-Tesla build checker. It is designed to work without knowing who you are.
What Vinnie does not collect
No account. There is nothing to sign up for or log in to.
No personal data. Vinnie does not collect your name, email, location, contacts, or advertising identifiers, and contains no ads or third-party ad SDKs.
No selling of data. Nothing is sold or shared with data brokers — there is nothing to sell.
What stays on your device
VIN checks happen on your phone. The build ruleset ships inside the app; decoding a VIN works fully offline and the VINs you check are not sent to us.
The camera is used only to read VIN barcodes, processed on-device. No photos or video are stored or transmitted.
Saved cars (and any labels or build dates you add) are stored only in the app on your device. Deleting the app deletes them.
Anonymous usage statistics
To understand which features are useful, the app records anonymous usage events (for example, "a check was completed" or "a report was shared"). These are not linked to your identity, are not used for advertising or tracking across apps, and never include the VINs you check. That's the entire list.
Changes
If this policy changes, the update will be posted here with a new date. Questions: support@getvinnie.app.
